Director/Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Grounded in a mission of helping others with growth and self-discovery, Elizabeth began her private practice in 2010.  She now works with a diverse population of adults seeking individual therapy, couples/marital therapy and family therapy.  Her therapy approach requires her clients to be actively involved in creating their own life changes.
  
In addition to her clinical work, she served as Clinical Supervisor at Stop Parenting Alone© from Aug 2014-May 2020 training future mental health professionals.  Whether seeking personal counseling or professional development, she helps others find their path on their journey to a better life.
   
Elizabeth was born and raised in Miami to immigrant parents.  She is one of four children raised in a multigenerational family environment.  She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida International University. Her work experience at Miami Children's Hospital - Department of Psychiatry (a tenure held for 22 yrs) led her to continue to pursue her passion for helping others in the mental health field.  In 1997, she graduated with honors earning a dual Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from Barry University. In addition to working at the hospital, Elizabeth also expanded her clinical experience working as a contract therapist at the Renfrew Center (Coral Gables) Outpatient Program.  She provided individual, group, and family therapy to teenagers and women recovering from eating disorders.
